The Vajiraramaya (30)

The monastery, which has not been identified, has a similar design to that of the Pubbarama. The Budhisathva Avalokeshvara and  his female consort, Tara, and other figures of the Tantric Buddhist pantheon were worshiped in the Vajiraramaya. The sculpture and ornament that survived are of late Anuradhapura date(10th century A.D.). On the central platform are the usual four buildings and the Thupa has been faced with white limestone. A large preaching hall, open to the sky, with interesting sculptures around its base is a feature of this monastic complex.
